This Privacy Policy describes how Udyotgyan ("we", "us", "our"), operated by PLM CAD Utilities AS as data controller and technically developed by Vortroid IT Solutions Private Limited as data processor, collects, uses, and protects your information.

1. Information we collect

  • Account data: name, email, phone (optional), password (hashed), target exams, preferred language.
  • Learning activity: topics viewed, quiz attempts, test attempts, AI chat sessions, improvement snapshots.
  • Billing data (Pro subscribers): Razorpay payment tokens and subscription metadata. We never store card numbers.
  • Device & usage: IP address, browser, OS, approximate location, referring URL.

2. How we use your information

  • Provide and personalise the learning experience (recommendations, weak-topic analysis).
  • Process subscriptions and payments via Razorpay.
  • Respond to support requests and ticket history.
  • Aggregate, de-identified analytics to improve the product.

3. Cookies & tracking

We use essential cookies for authentication and a minimal set of analytics/advertising cookies (including Google AdSense on free-tier pages). You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser; the app will still work.

4. Data sharing

  • Razorpay — payment processing.
  • Google AdSense — advertising on free-tier pages (anonymised usage signals).
  • AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, or self-configured) — your chat messages are sent to the selected provider to generate responses.
  • We do not sell your personal data.

5. Your rights (GDPR / India DPDPA 2023)

You can at any time request access, correction, export, or deletion of your data by emailing [email protected]. We respond within 30 days.

6. Data retention

  • Account data: until you delete your account.
  • Chat history: 12 months, then anonymised.
  • Payment records: 7 years (Indian tax law).

7. Children

Udyotgyan is targeted at exam candidates 13+ years old. If you are under 16, a parent or guardian must consent on your behalf.

8. Changes to this policy

Material changes will be emailed to registered users at least 14 days before taking effect.
